Ruthie with Susan and Lee Berk at a gathering performance to celebrate the retirement of Lee and to welcome the new President of Berklee College, Roger Brown. Pat Metheny and Gary Burton performed together and with student ensembles for the occasion that night in the Berklee Performance Center. I was thrilled to also meet Roger’s wife, Linda Mason, author of the book “The Working Mother’s Guide to Life”. She and Roger met in the Peace Corps.
